Can I put the same page in twice?

Yes. Duplicating a page is a normal thing to want — a cover sheet, a repeated terms page — so it is allowed here, unlike in Extract pages.

Are the page thumbnails rendered?

Not in this version. Pages are listed by number, size and rotation rather than as images, so nothing needs to be rendered before you can work.
